Trivia
- In Lental's Photodex, Sobble is not located correct side by side to its counterparts, Grookey and Scorbunny.
Origin
Sobble appears to be based on the veiled chameleon due to its color scheme being like to that of the males. The way this species collects water droplets from its casque (the helmet-like protrusion on top of its head) into its oral cavity could resemble tears which could explicate the tear-like patches on Sobble'south face, its actual tears when crying, and its Water typing. Its typing, in addition to the crest on its caput, are features that can too be more loosely related to basilisk lizards.
Name origin
Sobble may be a combination of sob and bubble or dribble.
Messon may exist a combination of メソメソ mesomeso (sobbing) and chameleon.
